I bought my camaro with this RK sport grill already installed on the car. Im tryin to get this thing off, and I cant figure out whats holding in on. Maybe double sided tape, but I dont want to go ripping on it. Anyone know how to get this thing off?

You mean the grill inserts? Because if not, you're pulling on the car.


EDIT; nevermind, I see it now. I guess they're selling a piece that looks exactly like whats underneath it. lol

The instructions wouldnt open for me either.

 

Most people with LS1s just pull and pry on the factory black filler until it finally comes off. I'd imagine the same is neccessary for this piece, since it obviosly snaps into the same fasteners.

Tools needed- Drill bit size 1/4in. – screw driver
1. YOU NEED TO PULL BACK THE BLACK STOCK FRONT GRILL OFF THE CAR
a. There are two clips on the bottom of the black grill that you need to remove.
b. There is one clip on each side of the grill that you need to remove
c. There are three clips on the top of the grill, these will be hard to remove you will see your bumper bow out as you pull (that’s ok).
2. MOUNT THE RKSPORT GRILL WHERE IT BEST FITS YOUR CAR
3. DRILL ONE HOLE ON EACH SIDE OF THE GRILL IN TO THE BUMPER
4. SCREW THE PLASTIC FASTENERS IN TO BUMPER 5. WHEN INSTALLING THE MESH ON TO THE GRILL MAKE SURE THE MESH IS FLUSH WITH THE OUTSIDE OF THE GRILL

 

I ended up getting it off already. I was held on by some very strong double sided tape. It tuns out the grill was made by wings west. Thanks for the reply though.
