Angry Replacing DTR lights on 97...

About a week ago I noticed the right signal wasnt working so I looked at the car and the right Day time running light was burned out. I set the light switch in the middle position and the light would come on but was very dim. Well I was going to change the front right day time running light, but I couldnt. I lost my temper with the car and decided to make a post. I took off the panel underneath the car and could reach the side marker/DTR light housing but couldn't actually get the bulb out. I couldnt really feel it. I could only feel the other light, the side marker one. How do I swap the light out? Is there a shortcut or easier way?

shouldn't be very hard at all........but i have changed mine twice......once with car just sitting there and once with it on ramps. It is probably 10 times easier with it on ramps.........but it really isnt necessary. If you still cant find where the bulb goes then just take out the whole assembly which is just 3 small screws. I believe the bulb your talking about is the very small one and it points outward on the right side of it and the bigger bulb points upward and is on the top of the light assembly. Of course all of this applies to a 97 z28 which i assume you have, but you didnt really say. Hope that helps.

it's not too hard to swap it out. Just go from the bottom and take out the plastic trim. Should be like 10mm bolts down there. The plastic trips looks like vents. You should be able to get to the light from there. You might have to take the air dam off so you can take the plastic trim off. I've done it several times before, not that hard. Should take less than 10min

Okay, if you still haven't gotten it...

It sounds like you've reached the back of the housing for the DRL/turnsignals. Just follow the wires into the back of it. You want the big one on top closest to the center of the car. Grab the top of it, wiggle and twist--should pop right out.

Thanks guys, I have a V6. Well its the bigger bulb I have to replace. I thought I was going to pull out the whole assembly but I guess I'll just wiggle the top of the bulb. I guess I was a little too angry to notice how simple the task was

yeah, dude. its a 3057 or something like that. it sits on the top side of the lens and in order to pull it out, you have to push in on the tab and twist it off.
