Replacing carpet.

I am fixing to replace my factory carpet with some black carpet.

I was wondering if there anyone who could tell me how to take out the center consul on my car or if there was a guide somewhere that shows how to. I just don't wanna break anything expensive.

console removal

not too sure if yours is the same as mine, there should be a few screws inside the console compartment, take off the shifter cover and a nut needs to be removed. it is really easy to do, just take your time, some of the pieces are a tight fit. good luck on your replacement

I found 6 bolts to take out but I'm not sure exactly how to get the button on my shifter to come out. I can't find a nut or anything to unscrew to get it off.

I might just get someone at a shop to look at it tomorrow

By button I'm guessing that you have an A4. Your sig doesn't say. If it is an A4 put the gear shift into 1st (1), look at the front of the **** about 3/4 of the way down. You'll see a 'staple' about the thickness of a dime. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to work it out and then use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out the rest of the way. Then the **** will come right off. Reverse to put it back on.
