Repainting my 94 Z28

I bought this car off eBay a few months ago, and was told the paint was in perfect condition. On the eBay pictures, there was a Bra on the front of the car, and coincdentally, there are major scuffs and paint chips on the front. Also, the seller happened to forget ot mention that someone had tried to steal the hood (it is a z-roc hood) an dit has crazy cracks from prying on it. Okay, now to the point.
I want to repaint my car metallic burnt orange, and was wondering what is the best way to take off my paint? Is there a chemical or solution of some kind that I can rub on that would take off my paint or make it easier to sand off the paint? Or is it going to be 200 hours of sanding for me? Because I know preparation is what decides the paint job quality. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas of how I should carry this project out. Thanks for your time.
