Repaint before selling?

I'm looking to sell my 96 Z28 to get an LS1, and I was wondering if I should repaint it before selling. It had some damage to the nose which I tried to fix myself. The paint looks decent but it does not match. I heard a $200 paint job at Maco looks okay, and it would look better than what it has right now, but would it help the resale value enough to make it worth it?

Re: Repaint before selling?

$200? That is gonna be garbage. No clear coat (not glossy), paint will peel, lots of rough spots/orange peel, you have to do all the prep work. It will probably look worse. Depending on the color it may be easier to find another bumper that matches and swap it. And that way the guy doesn't have a car that needs a paint job in a year or two and then has even more work to paint the car right by removing all the extra paint.
