Removing Taillight covers
Removing Taillight covers
Ok, here is the prob, i just got a 1997 Camaro Z28 with these red tail-light covers. Don't like em at all however i don't know how thy are attached... i looked for a spot where they might clip on but i can't find one and i'm afraid to pry it off. Might they be stuck on with some sort of adhesive, and then how would i go about getting them of if they were.

Usually they come off very easily once you open the hatch. They're suppose to just clip on. Not unlikely that someone may have used adhesive as well...
in which case, wrap fishing line around your hands the same way you'd wrap dental floss around your fingers..... slide a length of fishing line between the cover and tail light lense, working it back and forth so that it "cuts" through the glue. Once it's off, use "goo gone" or something like that to take care of any left over residue.
Congratulations on your new purchase, bravo for taking those fugly covers off, and welcome to the best site on the net!

Well maybe your trying to pry off the stock taillights since you can't find any clips and they won't pull off.
Who paints taillight covers red anyway :shiver:, hopefully your car is red so they at least match.
