removing rear panel for berger re-paint

how would I go about removing my rear panel to sand and re-paint it black?

Open your trunk and pull down the carpet by your rear panel. You should be able to see some wing nuts for the tail lights and there also should be 4(?) nuts I think. Remove the tails first by undoing the wing nuts and guiding them out. Then remove the bolts holding up the rear panel and slowly guide it out so you dont mess up your bumper cover.

im not going to primer mine, just sand and repaint with krylon paint.

yep, primer isnt required if you just sand down the old paint, you only have to prime the spots that you remove all the paint to whatever that panel is made of *shrug* oh and also if you have a bose or monsoon system in your car, youll have to remove the rear boxes to get to the outside nuts (i did)
