Removing the center console in a 97+ camaro?

I have got all the bolts out and it is loose but it appears that the parking brake handle wont go up far enough to allow it to slide off. i don't want to bend/break the console anyone can help out?

Pull the parking brake all the way up. Grab the console from the rear and tilt it upwards while also trying to bring the front back some. It should slide right over the e-brake handle. If you can't even lift it from your carpet then you don't have everything unbolted. Don't just go ripping it out of there though. You'll have wires going to your cigarette lighter(s) and maybe one or two other things.

There's a small ratcheting arm on the side of the parking brake assembly; release it with a flat tip screwdriver and you can pull the handle straight up. You can get to it down the side of the slotted rubber piece that surrounds the Parking Brake Lever.

when you pull on certain areas you should be able to feel where the screws are holding it down from the bending in the plastic. If one specific area doesnt come loose with a small bit of pressure theres probably something holding it down.
