Relocating side turn signals on 3rd Gen

My body guy recomended I relocate the side turn signals while I am restoring my 86 Z28. I could even change them completely to the split style of the early firebirds or something like that. It would give the car a nice subtle change. Does anyone have any cool ideas or should I leave them as is?

PIC FOR YOUR REFERENCE

I dunno how it would look, I'd need a photochop to really get the idea, but it might look kinda cool to see the turn signals hidden in the front gfx lip, so when you turn your blinker on it glows out from the opening

I was kind of thinking the same thing as well. I thought of the blinker light actually being recessed in the scoop on the front lip, and when it blink, it shined out onto the paint.

Not quite sure actually how functional it would be though.
