The 2007 Florida Statutes

316.2397 Certain lights prohibited; exceptions

1) No person shall drive or move or cause to be moved any vehicle or equipment upon any highway within this state with any lamp or device thereon showing or displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front thereof except for certain vehicles hereinafter provided.

(2) It is expressly prohibited for any vehicle or equipment, except police vehicles, to show or display blue lights. However, vehicles owned, operated, or leased by the Department of Corrections may show or display blue lights when responding to emergencies.

Looks nice though....

thanks, i kno the florida laws though, ive lived here long enough. there on all the time but when the headlights come on, the blue light for some reason kinda cancels out the red, u can still kinda see it but up close when the lights are on. but hell i drive it with just the halos and fogs on through neighborhoods, sidestreets, parking lots, wherever cept main roads. cops arent that **** in my town, theyd rather get u on exhaust then lights.

o ya, i had bright blue led blinkers/runners for the longest time, drove past cops, next to them, they didnt do crap. but im sure somewhere else they might. im gunna be wiring them to a switch so i can just have the halos on w/o anything else, now that would look devilish haha.

thanks for all the replys guys

They look pretty neat. Sucks that they're illegal, but they look nice at least.

When I used to live in Florida, back in 98-99 I had tinted my foglights green, yes green and I got an $80 ticket. Then moved back to Ohio and re-tinted them thinking Ohio law was more lax, no sir. Another $80 ticket, haha. I installed the Hella Optilux foglights on my car recently with the LED halo's and at night they look really blue, and now I'm too paranoid to turn them on. I only use them on a cloudy day.

LED Halo's

i would turn those on, i cant tell you how many cars ive seen with bright blue halos on all the time. its just like the blue hid headlights, that most european cars have. im up here in penn now, and never had a problem when the halos were blue, they were on all the time.

I thought most people hook them up so they are only on when the fog lights are on?

I'd imagine bright blue Halos would be fine. I've been getting blinded by a bunch of new LandRovers all over town with them, so they must be legal.
