red Callaway C8 Camaro

My friend Anthony is selling his C8 because his father is having some very expensive medical bills. Check it out, it's extremely cool, and one of the best C8s Callaway ever made.

Wish I had the money to buy it, but it's out of my range, and red just isn't the color I'm looking for.

No catfish or anteater comments... you're not the first to say it, and it wasn't funny the first time, nor the 30th time.

I think he was trying to get the big money searches on ebay to pull up the C8. Most people looking for 4th gens on ebay expect to pay about $15k or less these days.

Bran, you know I'm not the biggest fan of the C8, though I don't detest them either, but I actually really like this one. I think it looks great as a convertible, even better than the hardtop cars. Never in a million years would I have chosen those wheels, but they actually fit the car quite well. I like them too for whatever reason. Probably only on this car, though.

Yeah, this is one of the best ones. It has a great stance and all the right parts.

A lot of the others aren't nearly as refined, mostly because they weren't ordered as well optioned as this one was.

Unfortunately, the car doesn't have a $69K interior. Nice car, otherwise.

If I know Bran, the only thing that he hates on this car would be the exhaust tips.

Yeah, it doesn't have the Callaway leather unfortunately. I haven't been reading my Callaway stuff lately, but I'm not positive they even offered the custom leather that early in 1994. I think I remember Anthony telling me the original owner thought the red/black stock cloth interior was good enough, and they liked it, so they didn't have it replaced. Going by what Callaway wanted to do with interiors in the C8s, it probably would have looked something like this:

Which in this case, isn't something I particularly like. I do like the Aquafresh interior in one (or both) of the black C8s though:

It's very funky and weird.

The teal one was special ordered with this interior, that lacks the stripes, sadly this is the best pic I have, and it's a bad angle:

I think the tips are ok on this one, but I really would prefer the car not have tips at all. I don't think the C8s look good with exhaust. I'd want it short and painted black so it wasn't so visible.

If I ever get one of these someday, I'll have to either make sure my modifications I make to it aren't permanent, or modify an unofficial C8 that has the CamAerobody and no SuperNatural engine. There's probably up to 30 of those cars, but I only know of about 10. I think I'd prefer that method, because I'd want to paint the car a slightly different hue of Nassau Blue with a little bit more teal in it.

It's just a dream though... it probably won't happen. The likelihood of me owning all the different Camaros I'd love to own is very low.

Man if only that rear bumper could be mass produced! That changes the whole look of the car and knocks some years off the age of 4th Gens easy. Only thing I would've removed were the gills. Wish GM would've incorporated that into their design vs the catfish upgrade.

The thing that bugs me about those cars is the way the nose lines up. Look at the corners of the headlight openings and how they dont line up with the hood at all. That would bug the living hell out of me.

Yeah, I wish they aligned with the hood gap, but they were originally designed to hold some plexiglass headlight covers, but they were expensive to make and didn't make it to production.

^ which is ironic, because wasn't the car expensive as hell, once Callaway modified it?
