rear fill in decals

i just purchased these decals

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6755

but i forgot to specify that i wanted black and the guy isnt responding, but its not his problem anymore, it was my fault.
Just wondering if you guys think that i can paint these black, or will the paint not stick? thanks for your input

Re: rear fill in decals

its been about 2 weeks, and i called the # he sent on a business card 3 or 4 times, i understand that its not his problem, and i know hes a good businessman and maybe somethin happened, but i dunno. just wondering if any of you guys knew, maybe there is some kind of protective coat on top of the vinyl that will keep the paint from sticking or something

thanks
Scott

I seriously doubt you can paint on the decal and have stick or look good... You should have ordered from Brent: http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm
He's helpful and promptly answers emails if you have a question... Plus, two weeks seems like a long time to wait for decals.

You won't be able to paint the vinyl and get any decent results IMO.

I'm the guy 94Z28WP mentioned above (thanks! ) and can ease your pain a little. For $8, I can get you out a black rear insert pretty quickly Shoot me an email if you'd like!

You know if he is not responding and you have no product yet, talk to ebay and maybe you can get out of it. You may have to send copies of sent emails to him.

Have you considered the 3D Tectiled inserts? They cost a little more ( like $27 shipped on ebay) but they are worth it! They are not flat, way easier to install, and look awesome. I have a lot of Brent's stuff on my car. Look at the sig to see the rear inserts I was talking about and you will notice the decals in front and the overlays are all Brent's. can't go wrong.

Re: rear fill in decals

sorry, i always become misleading when i post lol, i actually have recieved the stuff, the guy shipped on time, i just didnt specify a color to him and i recived them in white, which as i have said is not his problem. Im just wanting to know if i can paint them, which i think is a no by the looks of things lol, so i'll probably order some from brent in a week or so

thanks guys
