re-polishing polished rims

one of my friends made a rim cleaning formula and we tried it on my car and it ended up leaving lil marks on my rim (they look like water marks but they are acid marks).. and this is bothering me..

how can i polish the tiny lil acid marks off the rim or buff them out?? i need to get rid of it... any polishing techniques i can use? plz help
