Talking Re-loomed my wiring harness, what do you think?

Yeah, so I got bored, and the black one was all nasty crudded up.

My car is chamaleon blue/green, so it's kinda matching.

I just wanted something different. I've still got some in the engine bay I've still got to do, but the majority of it is done now. Pretty tedious work, but I hope it's worth it, that it will look good.

Don't worry, you can be honest.

When do you plan on having the harness in the car? I'd like to see it all in place. So far it looks pretty nice. I'm thinking of re-doing my harness wires when the engine is out this winter, either blue or black. Looks cool though, have pics up of that thing all hooked up .

Eh....I like the idea but that blue would look good in a black engine bay with other blue accents. I think you should have painted it the chameleon color to match your exterior paint better. Just my honest opinion.

I'm confused, how would I paint the wire loom? It would just bend and crack and fall off...

Hmm I guess you are right I assumed you just painted that whole thing, but looking closely I see you just used blue tape and blue loom. Well I don't know I guess my idea will not work, but if there was a way to paint it chameleon that would look sweet. I thought there was a paint that you could use for flexible stuff like that. Anyways post some pics with it in your engine bay I am curious to see how that will look.

It looks good, but I would have just stuck with black. I bet it will clean things up a lot.

Wow, you got really into that. I never would have taken the whole harness apart! But, I might just do that now.. the color choice is alright, but personally i would have went with silver before blue. Good job though!

I agree... silver or chrome looms would look better than blue on the bluish green car.

Chrome?

Way too fast and the furiousish! LOL

I just think about how it's reflective, and there would be NO WAY to keep it shiny...

I didn't really want silver either (Not that I could find it) because I'm having my intake and all my brackets powdercoated silver...

Wanted a little something to contrast... Way better than the ugly looking POS that came out though! Check out the last couple pics.

Here's about 1/2 way through:

Forgot to post up the engine bay:

Came a long ways from this, and I've still got to do more cleaning. Going to polish the A/C lines, ABS lines, etc. Clean up all the rubber. Tubular K-member is going in too, so when I take that off I'll clean all that stuff up.

I hate to say it after all that hard work, but I think blue will be a little bit too much! I remember when everyone was looming their engine bays, but I have always thought black looked better- especially if you polish or chrome all the metal!

Nice work though!

I'm hoping that I can "back up" my blue loom with these mods:

I dunno, the engine bay on these things are SO boring:

I was going to ask how difficult that was.......but after seeing that you have no engine to get in the way, I would imagine it was pretty simple.

I was getting excited at the thought of doing mine in red...........but I still have an engine there.......and I imagine it would be extremely complex and way too time consuming.

It's not actually very difficult, just time consuming and tedios...

Depending on how many beers you drink you should be able to start in the early afternoon and be done by bedtime, but I was milkin' it.

I used a 10' roll of 3/8", and a 10' roll of 3/4". They didn't have any 1" or larger, so I just taped over the 1" black loom.

I used 2 1/2 rolls of electrical tape!

But with the engine still in the car...yeah it'd be pretty time consuming

Man you Canadians kill me with that "Zed-28" stuff
