Racing seats in LS1??

My friend stik6shift98 has racing seats in his camaro (im sure he will respond to this post and has pics of his car in his sig) my question is... has anyone else done racing seats? do you HAVE to get the brackets welded, or is that just with R1 seats?

just with r1.....corbea has a special bracket for 100 extra.....but when your payin 800 for a set plus 200 thats a grand.... mine were 430 shipped new and 130 custom weld.....2 other shops quoted me 300 at each shop.......

sparco makes their own bracket too but now were talkig bout more money....

I have Kirkeys from Lou Gigliotti in my car and I had to have custom-welded brackets. You can see it in person next April at our Road America track rental if you like- www.speedseekers.com

I think registration is open to the general public after the first of the year. Lou made the custom brackets for me and didn't break the price down. He also did the rollbar, belts, rotors, lines and pads. It only took them a few hours to do the brackets though.
