racing seats

anyone know any place to get race seats PLUS the brackets for our camaros? I dont have enough $$ for corbeau's or recaros but theres a bunch of generic race seats out there but can't find brackets for em. I also don't want to go through the hassle of fabricating my own. THanks

Re: racing seats

Call A junkyard and order a set of stock seat tracks...I believe they will bolt right up.

Re: racing seats

i just put new racing seats in my car like a couple weeks ago...
just drill out the rivets for the brackets on your stock seats, then drill some new holes onto the sliders of your new seats and install with bolts and nuts. be careful and check the clearance... i had one or two bolts that got in the way of the slider inside of the track and was stopping it from moving. sooooo.. i took out the bolt and used some metal epoxy from lowe's for $5 that has a strength of 2000 psi. took me like 3 hours for the entire process of putting them in and everything

Re: racing seats

Go with a universal seat and sliders. They say they fit just about any stock brackets.

"All Hyperform seats come standard with patented universal sliders that can be used to bolt these seats to virtually any stock brackets. Installation can be done with little or no modification."

Great deal too.
