Questions about 9005 - 9006 Bulbs
I'm going to replace my Headlight bulbs on my 97 Camaro. My questions were this...
- Was 9005 HighBeam and 9006 LowBeam?
- Whats the difference between H1 - H3 - H4 - H7 Bulbs?
- Can I legally run a 100W LowBeam bulb? If not whats the highest I can run?
- How would these bulbs be?... #1 #2
#3 #4
Which would be the best bulb?

Re: Questions about 9005 - 9006 Bulbs
I don't know the specifcs about what works with maro headlights and stuff but those painted blue bulbs don't put out the same light amount as a regular unpainted halogen bulbs. The simple fact the glass is painted means it's block everything but the blue light from coming out. Just FYI.
Re: Questions about 9005 - 9006 Bulbs
I hope you are aware that you can not "just" change the bulbs. Your 97 has sealed beams, which means you have to cut/grind off the old bulbs and glue in the new ones. This is best done on the all glass units not the glass & plastic ones. As such, you can use just about any light bulb. There were some guys on E-Bay selling predone kits, however you can do them yourself. The reason you see references to the 9005 & 9006 bulbs is because the factory wire ends plug into these with out mods.
No light bulb change, from stock, is legal. However if you adjust them correctly no one is going to stop you for this. I have had them on my car for some time without problem.

I just wanted to know if jumping up to 80W's or 100W's would hurt or not...
