Question about Iroc wheels

Hi,
I'm looking to get a set of wheels for my TBird (flame about Ford if you must, I like my Ford). Anyways, I've run into a couple of snags. And since I want Camaro wheels, I figured you guys would be the best to ask.

My stock bolt pattern is 5x4.25" (5x108). I know that the Camaro bolt pattern is 5x4.75", but I've already got the bolt pattern problem solved. Swap some redrilled cobra hubs on. but here's my problem.

I want to get a set of 18" chrome Iroc wheels, and I've found plenty of places that sell them in 18x8". The problem is that they're all +0mm offset. My stock wheels are a +39mm offset. Is there any way to get a set of Irocs with the offset corect for my car? Maybe get a set in 18x9 with between a 35-40mm offset? Or would I have to see if someplace like Colorado Customs could make a set like what I'm wanting?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Beau

You're probably S.O.L. on the offset.

The only thing I could think of is to contact the manufacturer of some of these chrome Iroc rims and ask if they can make a custom offset. Probably the answer is gonna be no because it would take a whole lot of $$ to make the rim in a new offset, and to break even, the manufacturer would have to sell hundreds or thousands of the rim with the new offset.

Best you can probably hope for is a good lookin photochop.

Hmm, what about options on narrowing the track of my car? My car has IRS instead of a live axle so I figured I could possibly make custom control arms as well as get custom halfshift axles for the rear. But in doing that, I'm worried about getting suspension geometry wrong. Namely for the shocks/springs. Think its worth the trouble to be different?

BTW, thanks for actually replying. I didn't know if anyone really would.

I could see two major problems with narrowing the track of your car. First would be the financial issue. Even if you knew exactly what to do, you would need all the necessary tools and a lift.

Secondly, the designers at Ford put the suspension pieces where they are for a reason. Changing it all around could result in some pretty unusual wear and tear and strange handling characteristics. It makes me wonder if aligning the car would be even possible at that point because some of the reference points on the suspension would be gone. There is also the safety concern if a piece breaks while you're doing 75 and the car falls on the ground. That would be a wild ride.

How ever those chrome Irocs will always look sweet on any car
