Question about hoods

well, i was searching the forums, and really like this hood
http://www.projectcamaro.net/forum/s...highlight=hood

the only problem with it is that my car is red, and the carbon fiber would not look good on it. Could i paint the carbon fiber with out any problems?

do other company's make a hood with about the same general style? I like the wider-look of the hood and the lines

Yes you can paint it. I'm not sure if it would cost any extra though.

It looks just like the Harwood cowl hood I have on my car. Except alot cheaper if your gonna paint it to get it in fiberglass.

It'd look better if you painted the outsides of the hood red and left the cowl in raw carbon.

It's going to have a thick clear coating over it that would be paintable just like the gel-coat on fiberglass. If your paint guy is worth a crap, he'd be able to paint it with no problem.

Talking

just wondering why no one said anything about the gaps on that hood you like... i agree the hood is pretty badass....but if it fits anything like that in the picture, you'll see the gaps 100X worse on your red car. keep looking around, from my experience, carbonfiber hoods are a pain to fit...good luck!! just my $.02

I have seen a nice lookin ss carbon fiber hood online- can't remember website but it cost over $1000 and it didn't require hood pins- just uses stock hardware. Might be carbon creations website?
