Cool Progress pics of the Z!!

The Z-28's been in the shop the last few weeks getting a fresh coat of paint on it. It's got the color on it, just waiting for clear and buffing. Here's some pics of the process. Some of the pics are a little blurry, but the camera phone doesn't do quite as well as my real camera. Oh well, you'll get the idea:

The nose still has to be painted with the white as well as the rear tail panel and the spoiler (I think, I didn't see the spoiler anywhere) I should be able to pick it up either Saturday or Sunday. This baby's going to be bad ***! After this, I'll redo the interior and she'll be a certified show machine!

Nice! So you should have it back by midweek next week?

Edit: I'm glad you're happy with the progress. You've waited long enough.

very nice. That this is going to look awesome when it's done with that hood. What are your plans for the interior?

It's got white leather with white perf. leather inserts right now. I'm going to keep the bulk of the white leather, but I'm ditching the white perf. leather inserts and going with orange houndstooth to tie in with the stripes. I think it will look awesome.

The reason I'm canning the perf leather is because the holes in it are weak points and the perf eventually starts cracking between the holes. It's already doing that now, and has been since before I bought the car. I think the cloth will hold up a little better. Besides, I'm going to get some seat covers to keep on them most of the time unless I go to shows. I want to keep that leather nice and white.

should look good. White leather is a pain to keep up with but it's worth it. I have white leather in my formula with blue inserts to match the stripes. I'm a sucker for a nice interior. I think it really completes the car and so many people just ignore it while dumping money into only exterior and maybe the engine bay.
