Anyone recently done a center console upgrade in there t/a or Z? It seems the 97 dosen't want to fit as "snug" as the older one in my 94 t/a. Everything bolts up just around the top there are some gaps, anyone wanna shed some insight on this?

 

93-97 should be a direct swop. I know in camaros a 98+ consoles leave this unsightly gap by the dash. I have seen people make a new peice for this, but the more popular choice is this peice, and this is gonna sound sacrilige, but from a mid 90's mustang. Board member dreamer1q knows the part number for it. The other issue is the 98+ cigarette lighter doesnt conect right to the 93-97 plug, and that you need to wire in the additional power port.

 

I have the exact same problem with my 94 Formula. There are gaps around where the console meets the floor. Also, I had to do some clearancing to allow my Hurst with a Short Stick to get into reverse. Odd....

 

i had a bunch of gaps where the new console met the floor. I just ripped apart a pillow and started stuffing the carpet until it came out even.

 

I had one but I couldn't get my A4 to shift into park. The console didn't sit up far enough. I adjusted the tranny but then it wouldn't shift into 1st gear. So now I am selling it.
