Prepping ground effects for painting...
I pieced myself together a body kit: Factory RS front GFX / Xenon sides and rear piece...
Question is these pieces are painted and that paint is peeling/cracked all over on the sides/rear and the front gfx is just scratched up. what do i use to sand down the side pieces with so that i dont add more labor to the paint cost. I'd like to do some work and save myself a little $$
thanks,
Keith

Ill help ya out again Keith, what we do at my shop is sand it down with 220, you can either wet sand or dry sand, Wet sanding will be better though.
My high school has a program where Sr's can go to the Tech school for the first 3 blocks of the day. Im in the autobody shop currently painting my own stuff. Right now Im doing my SS hood, its all done in black, Im going to be sanding down the scoop soon to paint that red.
But like I said already wet sand it with 220.
