powdercoat rims black or leave em?

i cant decide, i have a blue z28 with the silver painted ss rims. i like how it is now but i often think of how sweet it might look with the rims powdercoated black. i cant decide what i want to do. does it cost a lot where if i dont like it i wont be stuck with it for a long time? i dunno, help me out.

I got a quote to get my wheels powdercoated and the lip machined. The total would be $800. I'm in the process of repainting my wheels now (to do it right and hopefully last this time). I think it'd look great and I haven't seen that on a blue car.

Check out these pics of the 10-spokes in black. He painted his (and his pics inspired me).

Anyway, I'd do it. Go with powdercoating if you can afford it though. Mine are starting to chip but I think that's because I didn't properly sand the wheels the first time. I get so many compliments on my wheels and people just staring at them.
