:POLL: which tires should i go with?
Well im gonna go with new rubber at all four. I wanna upgrade from the crappy stock gs-c's. This is what I've looked at. I really don't drive this car much in the rain, so i'm really only concerned with the dry traction cornering ability. These are the tires I've liked the most:
#1 michelin pilot sports $253 a piece, they recieved a overall rating of 8.5 from the tire rack, they got a dry traction rating of 9.1, cornering 8.9, response 8.9, and tread wear of 7.9 pretty nice sticky tires that have a decent life span.
#2 goodyear eagle f1's $153 a piece, no info provided but they look really sweet and really sticky. anyone used them before? some feed back would be nice, the guy at goodyear told me they are the best thing in the world, but ofcourse he is just trying to make a sell, even though in my opinion these look better than the pilot sports.
#3 firestone firehawk's sz50 $143 a piece, these are the highest rated tires on tirerack, that fit my car. They got an overall rating of 9.2, drytraction 9.3 cornering 9.1, response 8.9 and thread wear 8.1. the thing about these tires is they sound to good to be true excelent handling in dry and wet conditions, long life span, and quiet too??? anyone running these? leave some feedback thank you.

I like my Kuhmo Supra Ecsta 712's too.
But if I were going to get any of those other three, it would be either the F1's or the Firehawks...
Check out some more ratings at this website. It has a lot of tires rated there as well. But the F1's are used on all the new Vette's, and I looked them over last night, and they look like a good tread pattern and they do look like a sticky/soft compound. You aren't gonna get as long of a wear out of a tire like that though.
The Firehawk's are good tires and they do have a nice tread pattern...but the Kumho's are still cheaper.

hey thanks for the link, everyone seems to have something bad to say about the piolt sports, and for their price im not even gonna try to experient. I'm most likely gonna go with the firehawks everyone says it's one sticky tire, and they go for $109 on that site
