I was just wondering what the best way to polish a set of Torq Thrust II's would be,I have let mine get pretty dirty lately and I want them to shine again.What products are the best for this?Thanks guys

 

If they are clearcoated polished aluminum, then try blue magic, or simachrome, or flitz. I like flitz and or blue magic. If you have time, you should put a little wax on top of it, because it helps it resist oxidation so as you won't have to clean them as often. As you may know, they can be a B**ch to clean when they get good and dirty, especially with the spotting.

If the wheels don't have clearcoat, then maybe mother's billet metal polish will be good.

 

Thanks,just curious....can I use a handheld buffer or something to speed along the process?

 

You could use a buffer, although I am not a big fan of them. If they're clearcoated you want to remember that the gentle cleaning approach is in your best interest. By hand you can guage how well your wheel is taking to the cleaning.

If you already have a buffer or are looking for one, you could also look on the directions of one of those products and see what they recommend.
