polishing alternator

anyone have any idea what i need to do this, steps? and anyone have pics?

i used a dremel and sandpaper. it was a pain, but worth every minute!

That looks good man. Did you take it apart to do that or jsut did it while it was together? And also, where the front piece go? The piece with the black parts.

Die grinder with sandpaper rolls, 8in buffing wheel on a 1 1/2 hp grinder, polishing rouge, two hours and it looks like chrome.
