97silverz28, why not paint it Candy Apple Red?!?!?! That's what I did and it looks Biitchin! (pics in the sig) Buffy...when it comes to changing the appearance, EVERYONE has an opinion. No one agrees. Everyone will tell you to do what THEY did to their car or their friends car. So it's a waste of a time to do a poll. At least where that is concerned. I like to post polls when it comes to choosing a brand, or a type of a particular product. That way...the mindless drones actually have to have some sort of knowledge about what they are talking about and a reason behind what they picked other than just an arbitrary liking of a particular color.

haha yeah... there are like 5 camaros in town... it's gotten to the point where i know there's the neon green Z with black stripes, the 95 polo green, the custom purple Z, a silver 01 and a red 00 convertible. it's pathetic lol. and rutland is overrun with damn ricers. i saw one car that looked like it was gonna just buzz off and fly away with the huge spoiler (if you put the spoiler on the ground, next to the car, it would just about come up to the roof of the damn thing).

as much as i hate, *hate* jersey, i must say one thing about it: it's camaro town & sometimes i wish i was down there more to appreciate the tricked out camaros on the road... although we do get our fair share of vintage muscle cars in killington (esp. stingrays... they're *everywhere* i turn lol)

Hide those neons inside of the car and you will be set.

buffy..to answer your question on my cardomain site...that paintjob by anyone else would have probably been in the 4-5 thousand range... but I got it for under half that. About the price of a good oem repaint. The guy that did it did a darn good job. More base was used than normal...and over double the clearcoat. That was because it was wetsanded 3 times with finder and finer grits to give it a VERY deep shine. The surface is glass...or at least it looks like it. Everything else I put together mostly myself. I cut those gill by hand using a freehand dremel tool. But I spent days and days mapping out the cuts with a test panel and many sheets of paper before I finally cut into the real fenders. If you want to learn more about that process...look up in the search feature "cuttin some gills" and i have a thread all about it. Other than that...it was just a LS1 front end swap since I have a 96 z ragtop.
