That looks bada$$ man. I love that style. i was going to do that on my white z28, but recentley saw another one around town. so i kinda shot that idea down. I'm going for the sleeper look w/ a 396 and 150 shot on the inside. As for the clearcoat, i'd leave it, imho i think it looks better almost flat black as compared to a glossy black. It your car tho man, do what u want. Congrats, it looks beautiful. i like the tips too.

Thanks man!

Only reason I was considering the clearcoat is because my roof and mirrors are gloss black....

I'll have to wait till I get the car outside to see how it looks

Hey sc
Let me start by saying that is absolutely gorgeous! i mean, wow!

I'm about 2 days away from this mod myself, and i've got to ask, did ya have to sand it down first? did ya use satin black or bumper black? I've scoured through plenty of posts, and plenty of opinions, and I'm hoping i can get mine to look somewhat like yours.

Looks awesome! I wouldn't clearcoat it either, I think it will still look great with the B-pillar and mirrors.

Thank you! I did not sand it down. All I did was use 3M adhesive remover for the leftover goo after I removed the emblems. Then I used some wax remover I got from a local paint supply shop to get the wax off. I made sure it was really clean and dry, then sprayed it with "Gloss black bumper and trim paint". It said it was gloss black, but obviously didn't come out too glossy. Still looks good though.
