Nope, next is

This looks bad as hell. But it's gonna cost me. Can't find it for any less than $1200.

Just wondering, what is the difference between that hood and the SS hood?

The change is for the better - it looks nice!
I do like the trailblazers on your car. So many cars do the plain blackouts... and so many cars fail miserably when they do the trailblazers - but for some reason. I really do like them on yours!
Nice work - and good luck with the hood!

I think blackouts or trailblazers only look good when you have those letter inserts for the CAMARO on the back... it just brings it all together for me...

Hey BigRed... I think you might be mistaken about that hood, that was a ZL1 prototype. It's a common question in the appearance section and it's unanimous that that hood is not produced ANYWHERE and unavailable for purchase.

Perhaps you have seen the functional Suncoast Creations SS style hood? That's very similar, but it's not the same AT ALL.

To help on your hood hunt:
http://www.suncoastcreations.com (great)
http://www.americansportscar.com (good)
http://www.usbody.com (questionable quality)
http://www.rksport.com (pricey, bad company)

I disagree about the fact that no one makes that hood. I've already told a few others that DG Motorsports makes a hood that if not identical, is pretty d*mn close to being identical. You can see it at dgmotorsports.com
They make them for 93-02 and in fiber glass-$600+/- and in carbon fiber-$1000. They actually call it the "original" ZL1 hood. Also RK sport makes a big block hood, but like before mentioned, they tend to be over priced and unliked around here.
The only thing I can think is that the 93-97 style ZL1 built by John Moss doesn't have quite as high of a cowl/scoop as the one you pictured BigRed. I have the original Hot Rod Magazine with the first appearence of the ZL1 and the hood on it is maybe a little lower and wider, just like DG's. Without a side by side phote of the 93-97 ZL1 and the current LS1 front end ZL1 plus a DG/RKsport equipped car, I can't say I'm 100% sure. But all in all, they are at least close to looking alike. Hopefully this helps you out. Also, who was you going to get yours from for $1200. Just curious. By the way, I'm not trying to act like a no-it-all. I've liked the ZL1 since I first saw it and have always wanted to put that hood on my car, so I've done a lot of checking into it. Thanks alot to Brent94z's Appearence guide. I'd have never found out about DG motorsports if I hadn't seen his site. Check that out to see pics of the DG hood and the RK sport hood and see what you think. Let me know if you agree with me or disagree. Good luck,
Andrew

There is a HUGE difference between the LT1 and LS1 Style ZL1 Big Block hoods... it's in NO way a minor difference. the LT1 ZL1 is basically the BIG BLOCK STYLE from DGM and RKSPORT.

The LS1 ZL1 is a custom hood, not reproduced yet but it looks like there are plans to make custom LS1 ZL1 style big block hoods, What they are gonna mold from I have NO idea.

LOL, it was DG motorsports that was advertising the ZL1 hood for $1195.00.

Oh and Reznor, I agree about the inserts for the back. Actually, everytime I try to look at RK or Jegs, I can never find them. No one seems to know what they are called. I definately want some. Can't find em in the catalog, and all the CSR's act like they never heard of them. If anyone has a link directly to the product, or knows the item number, let me know, got the credit card ready!

The kit looks nice my friend has them on his camaro. Only other thing is on your sig you put 35th anniversary Z28. Just to let you know the only real 35th is with the SS package. It was only available in the SS and had special badges, graphics, and rims on it. Just letting you know.
