Pics of my shaved antenna

Well last weekend I took some new pictures of my shaved antenna in a photoshoot with my buddy. I thought I would post them here and see what you all thought of it!

Looking really good. The white car in the last pic looks out of place.

I was going to do that too. But what did you use to fill in the hole from the antenna? I was going to use a small piece of sheet metal and try to shape it to fit, but there would still be a small lump. I'm guessing you used bondo and repainted the car after??
It looks dang good though.

Right now, my antenna is just sitting inside my fenderwell. I still get great reception, but if I drive under a bridge, I get a little bit of fuzz. I usually listen to CDs as I'm sure most people do, but the look of the shaved antenna SO outweighs the little bit of lost reception.

Well, it is kind of a long story with a body shop. Two months ago, a drunk girl sideswipped me and totally FUBARed my rear quarterpanel. The body shop did a great job at replacing it, but they did not do a good job at putting my antenna back in. The antenna was all crooked and the quarterpanel was distored around where the antenna was. I told them if they wanted to, they could just shave it off.

Basically what they did was take a small piece of metal and weld it behind the hole. They also used some seamsealer around the metal I guess to keep it sealed and not let any moisture behind it. Then they took some Bondo and smoothed out the hole on the outside and repainted it. I couldn't be any happier with it as you can NOT tell at any angle where the antenna was.

Thanks for all the compliments as I am so glad that I did this!

Two very, very nice and clean cars. That's good that something good did come out of that accident. Nice car man.

Cool ... and you're right, what's radio when you've got all your favourite CD's?

Yeah, it looks amazing. I've been looking at my antenna with disgust ever since I've owned my car (which has been 4 years now, as of June 26th!).

I wonder how much it would cost to have that done.
