As far as I know, any hood that 'rams' air in from the front is a 'Ram Air' hood. The Firehawk had a raised hood not unlike the WS6s hood, although there were only two holes as opposed to four. Essentially, it was designed to intake air from the front, correct?

I know they're not usually refered to as 'Ram Air,' but am I wrong? If I am, it's not because I didn't 'do my homework.' :blah:

Speaking of homework, you should know that the Trans Ams and Firehawks had the foglights closer to the center whereas the V6 Firebirds and Formulas got the foglights next to the ambers. Now lets see, Skyhawk has the Trans Am/Firehawk foglight placement, but no Firehawk hood. I wonder what it is?!

And not knowing that convertibles got the lower spoiler?

Re: Pics of my new car!

i suggest you stop talking, because you sound like a retard. and no one wants to read your infinite threads. firehawks had a different hood with 2 large scoops, WS6 appear to have 4 scoops, and saying thats not a T/A is just plain stupid. you should do YOUR homework before you open up.

nice looking car man. color combo is classy too

69z-28 for a person who wasn't part of this conversation just needs to shut the hell up. Instead of being a jack a** some me some research on T/A's with two small ram air scoops like the v6's version. C**k sucker. Any way nice car Skyhawk.

I was told they didnt get it because you cant see behind you with it.

Re: Pics of my new car!

For the convertibles with no high rise spoiler I'd have to logically guess that it's because of the obstruction when looking out the small conv rear window. If the high rise spoilers could "fly off" then I don't think they'd even be allowed on the non verts!

Why would seeing behind you in a convertible with a high-rise spoiler be any different than seeing behind you in a hardtop with a high-rise spoiler?

Yea, the window is slightly smaller, but since the seating position and whatnot doesn't change, I don't really see how it'd obstruct vision in any greater amount.

I always thought (heard?) that it was merely a problem in the spoiler getting in the way of the top folding down.

And Brent, I was playing nice.

Re: Pics of my new car!

i think like Brent said, when u have the top up, the window is small enough as it is, so they put the lower spoiler on to enlarge the window of vision vertically.
