Well, its been completely rebuilt, and its easy when its apart. I first wanted to have the intake and valve covers coated with a heat dispersing coating, untill I found out it was a dull black color. I think that would look like *** if oil ever got on it (would get spotty and all). Then I thought maybe powdercoating. But that actually holds heat in. So I decided on regular ol high temp engine paint.
I painted the valve covers black (so they look fresh), and the intake red. Then I used cotton swabs to paint the black in on the top of the intake. The block was black when I got it back from VRE, and the pan is red from Moroso. A local place ceramic coated my headers (they are badass, wont rust like jethot), and I painted my k member (black), steering shaft (silver), and hvac box (black) when the engine was out. I think Im gonna take some more time now to touch up the other red in the engine bay as well before I put the rest of the engine together and put the radiator in. Might as well when its easy to get too
I guess I might as well paint the water pump housing red too. It would look pretty cool with the black electric water pump on it.

It's about time! J/K. Looks like you'll beat me finishing up your project. I'm waiting for a shop to finish up my block, and I've removed the old block from the bay. BTW, what type of k member are you running? You're almost there man!
