Prolly gonna slap them in on the edge of the headliner, not entirely sure yet though. I want to take the entire thing off and dye it black so it will be the same color scheme as my doors. We'll see tho.

Where did you get the bulbs for the A/C panel and what size are they? I have the blue LEDs behind my gauges and I was wanting to get them behind the Hvac as well but didnt know the size I needed. Thanks

That looks great!

My questions are...
1. How did you get the LED's to stay in place?
2. How many did you use total? I read where you said three - but is that just for the headlight switch? How many for the HVAC?

I have white 5mm's in my door - I think I may go down to some 3mm's though, that way I can possibly hide them a little better - but I am gonna have to experiment.

There's a guy on eBay that I buy my LED stuff from - cwithk is his name. Others here have used him as well.

The led's I used, I got from here. There isn't a bulb that you can go buy that will fit in these harnesses to change the color (at least that I know of). You have to wire these led's in yourself.

To get the led's to stay in places, i just inserted it in the hole, and taped in in place with electrical tape. I may try to come up with a more permanent way, but this is working just fine.

I only used 3 led's total. One in the headlight controller and two in behind the a/c. I think I may have needed more if I didn't sand the led. Sanding it gives it more of a "light bulb" look to it by making the entire thing glow rather than just the coming out of the tip.

Install only took me about 45 minutes, but I have done it three times now. Once in my v6, once in a friends z28, and this last time. When installing, you don't have to take the needles off. They go over the needles with no problem. Let me know if you have any problems. I planned to make a write up last weekend as to how to take the dash apart. I got all the pictures, but not on this computer. If you want, I can finish the write up this weekend and send it to you.

I took some find sandpaper and sanded the lens of the led until it was slightly cloudy. That helped to disperse the light instead of having just s small beam of light come from the tip of the led.

I second that! You would be a hero of many if you got a write up done. I will host it on the internet as well if you will send it to me! Give you a page on my webspace.

BIGKerneL44 - I never saw your writeup either on dash removal. I saw all the stuff you posted about LED's...but that's it. If you have one, I would be more than glad to stick it up too.

For the headlight controls, I just spliced into the power wire that connects to the ****. It is a dark brown wire. For the a/c controls, just splice in to the wires that were running to the pre-existing white bulbs. Also, for each led, you must solder a resistor to the leg. I used a 100 ohm resistor, but yours will differ depending on the specs of your led.

I thought most LEDs came with resistors now? Maybe I'm wrong.
