The 96 T/A i bought has these litte dots all over the side mirrors. They are permanent and wont come off. A friend that works in the paint field said that it is rust comming through from beneth... im not sure if that true or not just what he said.

Does anyone know if you can just replace the glass in the side mirrors, or anyone have an idea for me?

you can replace just the glass, I saw a pair on ebay for $15 a few weeks back

 

The dots are on the surface of the glass but your friend thinks its rust coming through from underneath? I am totally lost here how the hell would rust come through the glass and where would the rust come from? There is no metal, the part the mirror sticks onto is plastic. Im lost, I need pictures, lol.
