painting stripes
this probably sounds dumb but since i cant find an answer i figured id just ask. i really like the corvette gs style stripes on the driver's side fender and was considering getting them painted on. i heard stripes can be painted on over the factory paint and then the whole panel shot with clear? wouldnt that make the one panel really shiney? or does the panel have to be stripped and redone? sorry, i know little to none about paint.

Re: painting stripes
Yea you would have one shiny panel it would be cheaper and alot easier to just get the decals.
You can get them here

you're better off using vinyl....you have to BURY the stripes in clearcoat to get it to look right and by then all the other panels that have the original factory clearcoat on them will look like crap in comparison.
