Painting salad shooters

Im painting my wheels this thursday and was wanting to know what type of paint and how many coats of each paint that you had used on your own wheels.thanks in advance. also if you have any color opinions let me hear from ya. i have a White 95 Camaro.

do yourself a favor and get them powdercoated, painting it yourself wont last trust me im been there

their alloys, they'll bubble up under the heat. or so i was told. i can get a great deal on the powder coat but the guy that does it says the metal isnt strong enough

i wouldnt paint those crappy lookin shooters..jsut save a bit for new wheels

have them bead blasted or sand blasted so the finish is smooth and has texture for paint to grab onto. then buy some self etching primer in a spray can. for the paint engine or brake caliper paint work best. i'd go black since it looks cool and the rims dont look that good anyway but silver is standerd

i knew i was gonna do them in a black already and still not sure if i want to leave the lip polished even though im sure i wont. but thanks for the help (amean94ta).

Antz97ZNJ: i would have done that already but paying for college and living on my own at 18 isnt really the easiest thing to do, and saving extra money for my car is even harder.

Paint won't stick indefinitely no matter how u prep them. Ur gonna have to bite the bullet and either powdercoated them, chrome them, or buy new rims.
