its really not that risking to prime it outside. it has to be primed multiple times and sanded a lot! we're not spraying the base coat or clear coat outside. it will be done in the garage we have a huge fan in there as well. this is the second paint job my dad has done on his own. the first came out great and has lasted 7 years and counting. he got a new low pressure gun just to use on my car and it sprays well. I'll put more pics up as we continue.

Good deal... are you using a flex additive in the paint for the front and rear bumper covers? They paint will spider-web over time if you don't, won't it?

there is a store right down the road from here called southern auto paint that is a PPG paint dealer. We were told that the particular primer we were using didn't need flex additive but the actual paint will need it.

Are you painting door jambs and inner hatch? Also Is that an epoxy primer or just primer surfacer?

YES! Put some pearl in that or something, set it a little different from other red fbodys. I think you can get some pretty good pearl for about 80 bucks a bottle and you will get a TON of pearl....Subscribing!

Keep up the good work!

I recommend finding a color pre-mixed, rather than trying to add pearl yourself, that goes double for adding pearl or flaked into a clearcoat. And please, don't use omni clear. I've painted cars with cheap base and good clear and they came out great, it's the opposite you want to avoid.

update-----

it probably doesn't look like much has changed, but I put a new front bumper cover on because the ebay one was horrible. I also put a new fender on because the old one was slightly cracked, also, as you can tell, the ground effects are being put on. work is going slowww on it.
