Painting the front headlight buckets

How many of you clear coat painted the headlight buckets on the front of your car when you had it painted? I have a red car and would like to see what you did and whether you like it or wished you hadn't. I am thinking about having the whole front cleared as I don't like the seperation line between the two. If I posted this in the wrong section, I apologize and please move it. I wasn't sure were it belonged.

I like the factory look of flat black. When I see them left body color or cleared over is just doesn't look correct to me

Somebody had a good quote about this in another thread I was on: "seeing a camaro without black headlight buckets is like seeing a pretty girl with no makeup on."

Re: Painting the front headlight buckets

I am definitely going to keep them black. I had the nose painted years ago by a dealership body shop and the break between the clear and flat just did not hold up and I don't want to go down the same road.

Re: Painting the front headlight buckets

Late to post up but my 95 Z28 had an unfortunate contact with an animal several years ago. I had the body shop clear the entire nose and I was very happy with the look, and ability to wax the whole nose. I thought it looked really good. Never got grey.

Re: Painting the front headlight buckets

Thanks. I am getting closer to painting the whole car and I have about decided to just clear it instead of going the flat black.
