Question Painting Factory Grille Insert?

Has anyone painted the factory grill insert in a 98+ Camaro the color of their car? If so lets see some pics. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

I saw a white one a couple days ago. White SS with the white painted insert. Looked pretty good!

It's already painted underneath. Mine seems to be lacking a little clear coat though, or at least needs to be buffed. But, you have some holes to contend with, and prob some witness marks from the old grill. I put some black pinstipe over witness marks for now. I'll prob get a grill insert down the road, but for now I think it looks good enough. I put mesh in the holes, but I don't know that you can see that from this pic.

For me...it's really a toss up. If it's a regular grill insert...I say toss it. If it's an SS insert, I say paint it.

Have you thought about a black billet grill instead? They aren't that expensive...that's what I did...pics in sig.

I hate the regular grille insert that I've got on my 2000 SS, but I don't want to spend the bucks on the SS insert from SLP. Let's get some more suggestions and pics submitted.

Exclamation

hey superdave...I went to click on your site...but I didn't see anything resembling anything having to do with a camaro...ONLY ABOUT 10 SCREENS OF POP-UPS THOUGH!!!!

If your hosting company has screwed up...you may want to get in touch with them...looks like you got a dead link man.

Yeah, sorry about that. Just found that out yesterday when I went to my site. It's time for me to renew and they didn't tell me.

Rest assured it normally has 0 pop-ups and advertisements. There's a few pics of my car here but not many and it pales in comparision to my real site.

Yeah...I've been to your site before and it wasn't like that...that's why I felt pretty safe to say that it was your provider and not anything that you're doing. I know it's gotta be a pain.
