wow, with all this talk about sanding wire-brushing and priming, im surprised mine is still on. All I did was very lightly wire brush, sprayed with brake clean and painted. That was 6 months ago and it still looks fine... didnt have to take anything apart either.

I never primed mine either, they came out perfect. It all depends on how many coats of paint you put on. I remember I put like 4-5 coats of the red, and like 3-4 coats of clearcoat. Just make sure you get them as clean as possible.

I done it with and without clear coat. The brake dust/grime/dirt comes off better with the clearcoat.

I know where you are at. You drive right by Fremont on the way to Norwalk. We for sure need to hit it together sometime. I have a few guys I run with up there. One has a Z28, one a GTP (and a pretty respectable one at that.... goes by 13secgtp on here), and another kid with a GP.

My car is slow as ***** but it is still fun to run it! Does the Northwest Ohio Fbody association have a website? I've been looking for a Fbody group to join. Thanks again everyone. I'll post picks of the car when it's done!

I PM'd you, but forgot to tell you about NWO F-Bodies, No website and there's only a few in it, I'm kinda the originator. Only because the only other CC is The state club, which is too much ground to cover, so NWO was born.

I can easily make a site for it. Let me know if you're interested, Goodluck on your calipers!

I used my friends cleaner, it was called I think preps all or something like that and then I used Chevy orange engine paint on mine since I went with the black and orange look. On my website I think theres pics of my calipers? You can see them a little.

I used cheapo Walmart yellow a few years ago.. It's still in there as bright as hell.. Slight fading.. (brighter)
Little wire brushing is all I did. I did remove the caliper, but only from the disc. (I carefully painted them in the wheel well. 2 coats I believe. lots of news paper)
