Painted my car
Thanks for the comments
Before it was kandy cobalt blue but it looked very purple-blue. I didn't intend for it to be purple at all
The interior is exactly the same as it was... so you can imagine how badly the outiside & inside clashed. In my mind I had to either paint the exterior a different blue or replace my interior with black leather. I decided that electron blue would be perfect for it.
The guy who painted it the first time didn't do a very good job job and it was already peeling in a few areas.. someone cracked my ground effect's paint (the mechanic who rebuilt my tranny and then messed up the rear end - tranny's perfect but I ended up having to get a couple of used rear ends - first one leaked). Someone else (my DSM's former mechanic who I no longer speak to) ran the corner of the rear bumper into one of his cars whilst moving it and rubbed the paint off the corner
which as some of you may know could with almost 100% likelihood not be matched perfectly as it was kandy. I ended up putting some touch up paint from that blue purple color Chevy has on newer Equinoxes and it wasn't too noticeable.
I am VERY HAPPY with this paint job. The biggest problem with it is that the front bumper is hanging a tiny bit lower on one side than the other which I hope can be adjusted a little better. It is an aftermarket bumper, aftermarket hood, at least one aftermarket fender.. so I'm not sure it can be. Thinking about putting a blowdryer on the corner and forcing it up a bit although the guy who painted it said that it might crack if I attempt that.

Ah, well that makes sense. Hehe, your car sounds just like my blue car. It has an aftermarket front bumper, aftermarket hood, and aftermarket driver's side fender. Did yours get backed into by a drunk guy like mine did?
In fact, even your previous paint job sounds like my current paint. The people that did it didn't do a very good job and the paint's been lifting off of the roof for a couple years now. At first it was just a bubble, but it grew and grew, split, and started chipping away. With the metal flake in my car, it's unlikely that if the roof were repainted, that the metal flake distribution would match the rest of the car, so it's going to get a full respray, likely without the heavy HOK metal flake.
Oh, and it's time to update your sig info.

No the side of the bumper had a large dent in it and the fender was cracked in two due to someone changing lanes into my car (instigated the first paint job). The hood is aftermarket fiberglass.
