I just noticed today on the hood of my car that my paint is bubbling... it's not the clear coat... I've seen what that looks like.. but this is like the paint it'self is buldging like pimples... anything I can do? These came up pretty damn quick if you ask me.. I mean I wash my car on almost a daily basis... what could have caused this? Maybe it's just age... thanks

It's about and inch from the edge of the hood right? Mine is doing the same exact thing. I have a 1996 Z28. I've been cutting out the bubbles with a razor and slapping some touch up paint on it as a temporary measure until I can get the entire hood painted.
As far as the cause...not sure. Factory goof up maybe?

 

Yeah... almost exactly an inch away... hmm, I'm kinda planning on having the whole car repainted sometime soon anyways... thanks

So it's just bubbling around the edges? Not in the middle anywhere?

 

Nope... not yet anyways.. so far it's just about 1-2 inches from the fron of the hood.. but thats the only spot so I don't know for sure if it will only appear at the edges.
