PAGING: Brent94Z (New stripe idea...others post your opinion)

Hey Brent, it's Mark.

Have you ever thought about making (or could you make) side stripe for our cars similar to the Dick Harrell cars:

http://www.dickharrell.com/cgi-bin/y...AMARO_(10).jpg

Obviously without the Dick Harrell on it. Maybe just plain. Also, that is a weird texture, I was thinking just a satin black to match Berger panels.

Any thoughts? Not a clue on how to get measurements for it.

Is it something you're capable of with your vinyl machine? How much would it cost (I know it would be expensive since it's a custom thing)?

I would eventually get a Harwood or Sunocco Cowl and have you make a side stripe to match for it.

Thanks Brent!

Anyone else reading this feel free to post your opinion (positve or negative).

I think it's a cool idea. IMO I would have to put something in the stripe. I couldn't tell you what but I think it would need something.

Yeah i think it would look good with some kind of text in there, otherwise it would look too plain. Mabey something like "350" on the hood stripe and "Z28" on the rear quarter.

That looks pretty good

But, I don't really get too much into stripe kits. They take a LONG time to make and I'm not really setup to spend that much time on them or even make them as I'm limited in the size I can cut due to the size vinyl I typically stock (and my cutter is only 30"). But, mostly it is the time factor... I just don't have the extra free time it takes to make the larger stripe kits.

Who knows... maybe in the future I'll branch out a little but for now because of my work schedule I'll probably just stick primarily to the smaller decals I do now. Thanks for asking though!!!

When you decide to make them let me know! I've been wanting a set of those. Hopefully my car will be repainted by then

I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat. I love the Dick Harrel Camaros...

Nope. I am hearing the same thing from a guy at work. He wants the flares so bad but gmmg wont reply and vfn said it would cost too much to produce. I think it looks sweet as hell but the time and energy involved in making them isn't worth it to me. Everybody in the shop has been brainstorming though, trying to help him out.
