About 3 months ago I was in Chattanooga, TN and I was blown away by a Camaro I saw there riding down the road.

It was Completely ORANGE, but with some form of Lighter Colored Chameleon Orange Flames painted on the front that went down the side and all over the hood.

The Chameleon Flames where a lighter color of Orange than the base coat. The Base Coat was about this color:

The only thing is I have NEVER seen that kind of orange chameleon paint before and not since. What I wanted to know is "Where my eyes playing tricks on me? Do they really make such stuff?" And "Can anyone find me a pic of a car with it on it? I would love to see it.

I am VERY SERIOUSLY thinking of getting my car painted that way. <Dark orange base coat, then a chameleon orange paint flames that start at the front and go all over the hood and then down the sides.>

I haven't seen him around, but I am sure some of my buddies will know who it is. I only know of a couple of F-Bodies around here that are Orange - one of them being my buddies T/A. But from what it sounds like...are you sure they weren't ghost flames? I don't right off hand know of any chameleon orange. I will ask around though and see if I can find out more info - E-Mail me so I will have your adress and it will serve as a reminder to me to dig up some knowledge for ya.

P.S. You sure it couldn't have been a Hugger Orange (Base Coat) SS?

 

The link you posted would probably be your best bet. Contact House of Kolor and ask them about it. They pretty much lead the industry of custom paint colors. They would at least be able to tell you if something like that existed or could be done. If I'm picturing what you're saying right, it's definately possible. I know the TVR Speed 12 comes in about 7 different colors of chameleon.
