my car needs painting(obviously)im not sure what color to paint it. my son says leave it black , but i am indecisive.i usually like brighter colors , but am open to all. anyone good at photoshop?any pics of similar?also any ideas on what to do with the nose , as the last owner butchered it.by cutting the center out.

 

have you considered white? i have a friend with a white fbody with those headlights, and it looks mean

 

well that would certainly be different.maybe a black top with it?i saw a thread last night where someone was changing the headlights to the 02 style , and that looked sinister

I'm going to do mine a flavor of orange when it's time. It's not time for awhile, but my sights are set on this color:

 

it all depends on how much you want it to stand out or blend in. But if your going to spend money to paint it you might as well do some kind of custom color. If also depends on how well your body panels fit, if you have a lot of gaps then you want to choose a dark color to hide the gaps, with a brighter color the gaps will be more noticable.

If i were you I would do a orangiss copper metalic like color but more yellwish than the one shown above, I believe they used a color similar to what I'm talking about in 1998 on camaros.

If you have the funds I really like pearls. Like a Black with a red pearl would be nice. Looks black in the shade and red wine in the sun and certain angles. But I also agree with rv93. White with flat black headlight surrounds look great on the lt1 with dark windows.

well you know you can never go wrong with black, White pearl would look nice or even a nice GM white. Black combo to go with the white is a WIN IMO

I think any of the colors in this thread would look good on the LT1 aka SHARK lol

 

I always loved this factory color, and it is very rare, I think they only did it for 1 year in 1998.

 

Holy moly! i found this pic on the net,and i like it!i think i may leave my headlight openings black , but you get it.i like it!

 

that looks great, I like the headlight openings in the body color, the car doesnt look so old, the only reason GM painted them black was to no reflect light I guess.

 

Early 4th gens look so stupid without the headlight area painted black. That yellow one looks unfinished.
