oldschoolcomposites

I bought a ram air hood from this company on July 4. Sent him the money right away and eveything. I have still not received a hood and now he is not returning my calls or replying to my emails. Does anyone have any experience buying from this guy off of ebay? His name is Curt. Thanks

Alot of us have been in your situation. I had three transactions go wrong last month. It will help if give us his company name and Ebay screenname so we know to be cautious of this guy. Did you file a complaint with Ebay yet? It is always a good start. Good luck.

Reading the title of the thread always helps.

No offense, man, but seriously... buying a hood off someone with only 3 as their feedback rating? 5 positives, 2 negatives (1 negative was from a seller that he bought something from and didn't pay, that right there IMO is a huge red flag) That was VERY risky to do in the first place. But, the previous feedback ratings that he has say the shipping was slow and service sucked, but the hood was nice. Hopefully you'll get the hood, but seriously, man, go with people you know you can trust on ebay, not the ones that only have a few feedbacks.

If you paid through paypal file a report on him and you'll get your money back, if not file with ebay.

I got ripped off on ebay for a body kit for my Mustang. My problem was I waited and waited instead of taking action. Dont wait act fast if you dont want to lose your money.

Re: oldschoolcomposites

I did pay through paypal so hopefully I can get the money back. At first he would reply to my emails but it would take him a few days. Now he isn't even replying to them. I have talked to him once and he works a full time job and then builds these hoods on the side. If he would at least reply I would feel a lot better. I know that it must be hard to work and then make these on the side but he could at least return my emails.

If he works a full-time job and can't keep up with things, then he should reconsider having his own hood business. Running a business is more then just making a product and shipping it out, it also entails good customer service, which he obviously is completely overlooking right now.
