Just wondering if anyone knows the status of the bill that want's to get rid of the 2 plate law. It was introduced as House Bill 31 and if you check the status on the website it doesn't say anything. I found an article around March that stated it was now off to the Senate. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the status.

I don't know the status on it, but I do know I have already gotten a ticket for it Stupid women cops, pulled me over for not wearing a seatbelt...which I was...and then gave me a ticket for no front plate, even though i told her I just bought the car it didn't come with a front mounting bracket. Then she told me my exhaust was loud and to have it checked.

Hope that bill passes, don't need anymore tickets.

 

that sucks man...where in your area was it...im sure im not far from you. one of my friends got a ticket for no front plate last year as well...

 

I was driving in Green on Massilon road. I couldn't believe it. The kicker was I had to goto court for it, and they only made me pay the 50 bucks court costs.

 

I live in Ohio, and when I bought my car, they guy gave me the kit for a front license plate, saying he didn't put it on cause it "looked gay" and I promptly agreed. I've never put it on, and never gotten ticketed for it (and believe me, I've been pulled over in Ohio plenty of times). Maybe its cause all the cops see is my backside

i have never gotten a ticket for not having a front license plate on any of my cars, though once a highway patrolman asked when he pulled me over and i told him i had brackets on order to put it on. he was the only one to ever say anything about it, and ive been pulled over a zillion times. i have heard about that bill to drop the dumb law, and hopefully it goes through! a bunch of my buddies have gotten tickets for not having front plates though.

 

Im in Ohio, around the Dayton/Xenia area and have never been pulled over for the front plate, course I've never been pulled over. The way I figure it the cops have more important things to do, like catch all the import driving highschool kids flying through the neighbourhoods.

have not been there this year yet, but i sure do go. (not that i enjoy all of the fing gravel everywhere!) im planning on heading up there on tues. june 24th (weather pending). id go earlier, but the car is going to be down soon, so i gotta wait. lemme know if you ever want to meet up...there are a few f-bod guys in my area.

 

heh. the ONE good thing about toledo is that its right by michigan. michigan dosent require a front plate, so there are alot of cars around here that dont have one up front. my v6 never had one and i just got a slp grille for my new ls1 and will never put a plate on it..
