Oem "style" front bumper covers?

Has anyone ever used one of these and actually got it to look right?

I've heard that oem "stlye" products are usually junk and you can't get them to fit/align right. But when I seen the price of one on ebay, it got me wondering how bad most of them look b/c tjey are selling them on there for $85!! and that would get my car fixed alot faster than having to pay around 300 for a oem one.

Plus any pics wold be nice! Thanks.

I don't know about the one on ebay...BUT...I got mine from www.autobodypartsonline.com and it fit perfectly. It's going to be twice as much as the ebay one...but it fit's well. Another thing with ebay is...if the part doesn't work out...then too bad. Maybe you can re-sell it. With a place like autobodypartsonline, if it doesn't work out for you...you can always return it as long as you haven't hacked it up or anything. I'd go the safe route. Besides...OEM stuff doesn't fit that well either. OEM replacement is actually stuff that was refused off the assembly line for imperfections...or so I've been told by someone in the biz.

The best source for body panels is salvage yards. The fit and finish of a "oem style" piece varys widely from place to place. Some are OK and some are terrible. The plastic/fiberglass is usually thinner and of lower grade plastic than a GM piece. You will also spend more money on a GM piece but it may be worth it.

I vote for the GM piece

Try Speedautomotive HPSalvage and Billy Graham's.
