I got Detroit Wheel brand replica Y2K corvette wheels.

I looked on ebay and then I just called the store instead of buying them off of ebay. I got them $100 cheaper and instead of 17" and 18" I got all 18 inch.

I couldn't find any good deals on web sites so I just decided to call the store from ebay. Do a search for the kind of wheels you want on ebay.

performancewheeloutlet.com

i did business with them once and got excellent service as well as the dealer price on my vortec Zs (i mentioned being an employee for an auto parts store nothing more than that)

they make A LOT of mustang wheels but have some nice looking GM pieces too in a number of finishes.....and in case anyone is wondering what the wheels in my sig are (since most probably have never heard of them) they look almost identical to 2000 Cobra R wheels with a chrome bulletnose shaped center cap I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

thanks for the reply although they are on top of my list of dealers not to purchase from.

there tolerance in building is to great a range on the wheels i'm interested in to take a chance; that and there are quite a few people who are not happy with their warranty and customer services.

glad it worked out good for you though!

anyone else?

That's pretty good if they're chrome.

I'm using 275/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires. I think that those are the best deal for the money. The sidewall and tread look good as hell to. They are about the cheapest you'll find except for maybe kumho, dunlop, or pirelli but their cheap tires suck.

jason the only problem with that place is they used recondition knock off wheels at the same price others make brand new wheels.

not that it's a bad thing in any way, just something to consider you know. thank you for the suggestion though!!

KillerTA, where can i find pictures of your setup; it sounds nice!

anyone know anything about toyo tires? they seem to be moderately priced and have a good tread wear.

thanks again.

Hrmph...I did not know that.

There is a $25 credit per wheel when buying 4 ($100 discount), and plus the free shipping. I wonder if that helps bring the price down to something better. <shrug>

What kind of wheels are you looking for?

i know...understand i'm not trying to put them down in anyway; but it's something that should be considered when purchasing through them! that's what two of their representatives told me anyway.

as far as the discount, that's great as i had no idea about that; that would bring the prices down considerably making it definately a place to consider. afterall, they do offer warranties on the wheels and state as new condition so what would it matter right?

as far as the rims, i'm still undecided although there are a couple c5 models i like.

one particular hre rim that i really like, i'm just trying to justify the cost.....

o well...thanks for the notice on the discount though!

Good luck finding what you like!

BTW...I am selling my chrome 10 spoke SS wheels with Eagle F1 tires in the spring. Less than 1,500 miles on them, and less than 6 months old. Just in case you are interested...

I don't have any pictures available, but they are just the basic chrome Y2k thin spoke rims in 18". They realy look sweet on my 97 TA and I'm happy I got them. For $1000 plus shipping, I couldn't beat the price so I got them. If I had more money to spend I would have gotten some different but for $1000 I'm extremely happy. Go to www.tirerack.com for pictures of the tire if you haven't already.
