Man, if that is him, he must have been having a good month when he done the flames on that Ford (in the original post)...none of those other cars look as good as that one.

I would guess that the black car (as pictured in this thread) would be at least $10k, but that cheap would be surprising. A buddy of mine does flames, and regular ones take a lot of time, so I would hate to know how many hours someone poured into that.

I love those realistic flames....

They are actually not that hard to do....I used to airbrush murals on stock cars and do lettering and was starting to get the hang of the flames, but they by far never looked that good. I have seen some unbelievable things done with an Airbrush.....It caused me to just put my airbrush away since I knew I would never get there.....I go through the same thing with my guitar every once in awhile after I listen to masters such as: Satriani, Eric Johnson, SRV, etc.

The paint jobs run from right about $6k on up. I have not talked to the guy but One of our camaro club guys had his truck done by Mike. It cost him $8k
What he does is is starts with one color & does it everywhere then goes to the next & so on until hes done.

Heres Dicks truck:

Oh by the way the guy is in the Seatle area. The guys name is Mike Lavallee. HIs website is www.killerpaint.com. His work was one of Monster garages Mosters.

YEP that's the guy that painted that car! AWESOME isn't it!! I saw it a few months ago online and sent the guy an e-mail for a price to paint my helmet with those flames..... he wanted $600 and 4-6 weeks to do it so I had to pass.

after I didn't have the nerve to ask what it would cost to paint my WHOLE car! too far out of my price range!
